Primavera P6 101 - Beginner (8 Hours)
Primavera Scheduling offers our standard Primavera P6 101 training program both online and in-person.
This class is for P6 Professional, versions 8.0 and newer.
In just 8 hours we can teach you how to create a new schedule with layouts and filters, update the schedule, and run baseline comparisons. This class covers the entire life cycle of a project in the Primavera environment. Class sizes are always limited to four participants so you get individual attention. Arrangements for larger group sessions, or training at your location, can be made by calling 916-779-4145.
Best for: people with good computing skills who want to set up and update schedules in Primavera P6. Does not cover resource-loaded or cost-loaded schedules, or earned value. This class covers the use of the software.
Prerequisite: good computing skills and a basic understanding of the Critical Path Method (CPM) of scheduling.

Online classes start at 8:00 am Pacific Time. Each session lasts 4 hours. No software is required for either in-person or online classes. For online classes, participants are required to use a headset with a microphone and earphones, laptop microphone and speakers are strictly prohibited due to the feedback noise they generate.
In-Person classes are offered several times a month from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at our Sacramento, CA location. No other Primavera P6 trainers offer this many classes. Classes at your location, and evening and weekend* classes can also be arranged by contacting lead instructor Fran Pepoon.

Dress is business casual; please, no tank tops, shorts, or flip-flops. Jeans and tee shirts are acceptable, although we request that tee shirts not have objectionable or profane language or graphics. There is no smoking or use of any tobacco products in our office.
Payment is due one (1) week in advance for classes in Sacramento, CA and three (3) weeks in advance for all other locations.
New to Primavera software? Start here! This is a great introduction to all the basic features of P6 Professional. P3 and SureTrak users will also find this class to be the perfect transition to P6. Later on, you can always take our intermediate class to learn about cost and resource-loaded schedules. But if you are not planning to cost or resource-load your schedules, this class will probably be the only one you need.
